Todays colourdose

At Aros at lovely art museum in the middle of Aarhus…I was so lucky to be gifted a years membership with an extra person to this lovely and colourful museum…

Today was the first time of many visits and I really enjoyed it with my girls and some good old friends which came in from Copenhagen to visit us for some days.

Days at museums – exploring this new place – this new city means a lot of walks – today more than 11km/ 7 miles and 15 floors – yesterday was more or less the same…besides I need to continue projects from Greenland I think a couple of days at the beach would be good for us the voming days…

A lot of history

And beautiful surroundings at Moesgård Museum where we went yesterday. Its a huge museum (with a lot of stairs because of its architecture, where you can have a nice view at the countryside of Aarhus at the rooftop).

We were not able to visit the whole museum – but having a membership for a year we will definetely pay the museum regularly visits!

Exploring the streets

and surroundings of Aarhus and we are thrilled…Started the morning with a familyrun to our “backyard” Marselisborg forest and the ocean…that was so nice..tomorrow we will have a swim, today was just running.

We are a 100% book reading family – so of course we had to pay the new library in Aarhus a visit – Dokk1 , its huge and have a lovely location at the habour – It will be my main library – although I have a little library close by. So yesterday was just a short visit.

On our way home from the library we decided to walk streets we didnt know – so we get a better feeling about the city, which lead us to a wonderful streetfood market. Kitchen after kitchen in re-made art decorated containers and sittingsareas everywhere made it very cosy and relaxed.

I was just in the mood for testing all the 50+ kitchens – but we choose some nepalise and korean food and topped it with some popsicles and waffles…I love tasting new food – dishes…

Home is not a place – its a feeling!

Not really our home yet, and we have still not realized we live in Denmark…in between countries and homes…its months ago we moved out our beautiful house in Greenland…but it helps putting up art, small items and finding the right place for each thing, and in this new smaller home where we are living much smaller, actually having 3 rooms less…its interesting downsizing – moving towards tiny home living… which result in less things!

Tourist in our own city

First day being tourist’ in our own city , Aarhus, in wonderful warm and sunny weather…a whole afternoon at “Den gamle by”, (the museum The old city)…placed in the middle of Aarhus city…that was so cosy, relaxing and funny…

Soo sweet and huge bumblebee at the museum today
Pooridge with harvest of our own red currants from our garden…

I had a wonderful birthday and new home gift a few days ago – a years access with a partner to the art museum Aros – which I really look forward to use..

12 days of changes

We have left Greenland, and have now been living in Denmark for a couple of weeks.

And for some days in our new home, without furnitures, because we still havent recieved them from Greenland. So we live the simple happy campinglife…

Our cat have adjusted to trees and a big variation of plants, and seemed scared the first couple of days (since we moved in to our new home some days ago), but when he overcame being anxious and scared for all the new nature, he found out where we now live and has been running in and out.

We love our little garden with berries, and went out yesterday and bought some extra plants, for example lavender, roses, herbs…And now we have bees in our garden!
