Another day with <3

All of it something I love….I work from home and have days where I only talk with my girls and spend the whole day alone, while they are at school…I never get tired of it…I love talking with other people, but I really love being with myself…the silence, some days the focus and concentration, perhaps a little talking with our cat….for years my youngest daughter have been asking for a dog, and for all those years have I been saying no, but now it has changed, the timing is really poor where we are in our life, but when you feel love then its hard to discuss…we met this dog yesterday, an older dog at the animalshelter( from where we also had our cats)…sweet, trusting, curious, he loves cats, he has energy but not as a puppy, he doenst bark, but get very excited if you want to walk him, what to do – what to do? Isnt he sweeeet? In my mind I thought in 6 months we could perhaps get a dog, smaller to mediumsize, shorthaired, and this sweet dog is totally opposite! Big dog, a lot of hair, need long walks and stimulation…life is always showing love in all kinds of disguises…he is called Bandit

Seeds by seeds

are they coming out plus some Zerowaste design at home 🙂

The pinenuts are sooo pretty inside and we have been waiting patiently since the middle of december.

The last week, one nut has been cracking with very loud noises, so all three of us have been running to the kitchen and watched it opening up…

I think the pinenuts deserve to be partnered up with a really good salad..

Its sitting in the walls

I have a passion for very old houses and their history, which goes along so well with a swedish TV series from the Swedish Television called Its sitting in the walls / Det sitter i väggarna. The show has two host’ one is a building antiquarian and the other one is a historian. And

Homeowners write in with a video application where they ask curious question about their homes…and then 6 of them are chosen each season…and the show has been running for a lot of seasons. I really like the way they have made it, its a combination of detective work, history, building renovation of parts of the houses, the destiny of the former homeowners, and some about the timeperiods….its in swedish…

Now and forever

I think I will love knitting…I really love it…see some skeins yarn turn in to dailylife favourites or items for special occasions, lately have I made a triangle shawl in soft offwhite silk-wool yarn, now Im finishing it with a simple beautiful lace, just to add a little feminine touch, and because I like to knit patterns…I upload the result when Im done…the pattern is from this knitting book.

The next patterns are at my pinterest knitting board….

Exploring inner worlds

Asja Boroš is an artist and illustrator based in Croatia. I have followed her Instagram page for some time and love her style, they remind me a lot of an russian artist Yelena Bryksenkova (grew up in Cleveland Usa) we already have some artprints from.

The art of Asja is colourful, the qoutes are lovely and I like the way she show her art as an visual diary.

She describes herself like she is painting her inner emotional landscapes in ink and explores her dreams and visions through ongoing series of colorful illustrations.

Her work reflects a deep desire to take a glance behind the curtains of everyday reality, to go beyond all reason and dive into the mysterious realms of imagination and to explore her inner worlds in a playful way. Through her art she wishes to evoke a sense of childlike joy, innocence, optimism and hope.

Beautiful mix

Of different collections and items…telling stories about the collector…I wonder if I ever have collected anything…if dont remember I dont I ever had a really collection, besides collecting things for projects during my education at the Danish Designschool 25 years ago…

Collections are like life it self, rich, full of textures, patterns, colours, shapes, sizes, styles, directions, looked at with playful eyes and collected with the heart…

Living in a shoebox

which we (me and my girls) have thought about for some years…after discussing how to have a good life, how it would be to downsize, living more simple and use our income in another way….clean less, use our space in a flexible and efficient way, its more ecofriendly and we found that a tiny house would be an option for us…If you like to know more about this way of living check out this australian youtuber Bryce Langston “Living big in a tiny house”, which visits tiny houses all around the world…

I really like the idea of the financial freedom you get from having paid your tiny house quite quickly or immediately…actually using all your space instead of now where I feel half of our home is only used for sleeping….the place we use the most is the living- and kitchenarea…and in the summer the terrace…but we could live much smaller…and from august I only have one daughter living at home, because my big daughter is moving out for a year…But Im not a DIY – so should we do this I would need to watch a LOT of DIY youtube videos!!

I have collected a lot of inspirational photos and timelapse videos about creating a tiny home…enjoy them…

Good colours

Free from chemicals…from danish paintcompany Linolie, which Im working together with in my present project…the nice thing about using natural paint is its so healthy. Average plasticpaint is poluting your home environment with small doses of chemicals over more than 10 years after you have been painting the rooms…you dont smell it, taste it or feel it, BUT the polution is there…so consider using more healthy types of paint….they last much longer as well…and the walls or surfaces can breathe which is the ooposite of chemical paint…the shot of all breathing because its a layer of plastic you put on your walls and ceiling…

Im waiting to recieve a whole new colourcollection from them, which they just created last week…perhaps I will need to try them in my own home 🙂 just to make sure how they react when my painter is going to work with them…and to experience the colours in changing light..

Charging…

The batteries…is what these livingrooms look like, friendly, warm, colorful, rich, personal, some of them simple…which make me think about a painters company I am working with about my present project…let me write about it in the next post!

A seating situation I really like is this purple one…so warm….
