“I must learn to be content with being happier than I deserve.” – Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Yesterday evening I went out with my eldest daughter Anouk to the Theatre Betty Nansen , to watch an old play Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, but made as a modern play, where its acting, modern music, ballet, dance, and beautiful beautiful scenography, stagelight and subtle stage terms. It was both amusing and at the same time touching. We the audience applauded them big time afterwards.

Kalaallisuut

My two girls Anouk and Milla as smaller children enjoying each other and life

Kalaallisuut = the traditional greenlandic national costume.

In some months we have celebration time in our family and are now planning the celebration cloth. For big occassions like ending schools (they are 16 and 20years old) we of course wear our national greenlandic costumes, although we are in Denmark now, and that it will be very very warm to wear them end june. It will be so special and we will have some pictures at stairs made so the girls are having images from different periods of their lifes. Below from different life events!

Their new school chapters will be university for my eldest daughter and a year long youth folk school “folke højskole” next to the Wadden Sea in West Denmark (a danish school form) for my youngest daughter.

Joy comes to us in moments

Georg Riedel on bas with Jonas Östholm on piano

One of my favourite jazzmusicians czech born swede Georg Riedel has just passed away. He has filled my life with so much joy, inspiration, amusement, soothing, surprises and a feeling of his music helped me to recognize myself. He is the master of music from the soul.

Outdoor Art

Todays energygiver with family at The Artmuseum Ordrupgaard, we enjoyed the outside art in the park with a lot of mud and sunshine.

Evening walk

In our new neighbourhood, 15 min from Copenhagen, a lot of horses outdoor, deers, foxes, hare, birds, a lot of runners, people enjoying nature, pittoresque, idyllic, yesterday we by a mistake let the hen out of their house, so for two hours we was chasing tim until he finally choose to come home to his chicken ladies 😂 tomorrow we will need to cut the grass in this huge garden which will be a new experience.

My youngest daughter already found a new job as a dogwalker with this beautiful greek rescuedog Karla, she is so sweet, nervous, playful, and my daughter already loves her dearly and the other way around!

Getting somewhere new

New home, moved from Aarhus to Copenhagen, summervibe, lots of horses, huge lake (forgot to take photos), unpacking boxes, learning to start the fireplace, lots of sweet neighbours which already have gifted us with new eggs and flowers, curious neighbour animals trying to get in contact with our cat…tired, resting in the sofa…

Windy view

This is our backyard, less than 5 min walk from our home, and we get up there several times a week with and without the neighbourhood dogs. From the top of the hill were able so see the whole city Aarhus in its whole extend, and see the ocean. A little beautiful piece of nature – which is so soothing for the soul. After days with a lot of warm and sunny weather we welcome the wind and more cooling temperatures.

The view – I wish I could show it like it is, its a wonderful view

Summer + new home in making

I am enjoying the summer, the warm weather and being outside everyday at my work at the Waldorf school in Aarhus, Denmark. In the forest, at the beach, being creative.

The last couple of days have I made hammocks in the trees with first graders with flexible textiles, just some strong knots and then a lovely hammock between trunks. That have been such a huge succes, we have had hammocks everywhere 😂 so nice the forest is part of the schoolyard.

Today I was picked up from work by my daughter and we just crossed the street and went to the beach a little bit further away than the sandbeach but still nice

Our coming road for our new home in Copenhagen

We are moving to Copenhagen end of july, and will start a new period of our life surrounded by beautiful surroundings and nature and really lovely home, lovely friends and people, closer to family and just getting closer to more of our dreams. Very exiting!! So much is happening, that sometimes a break is welcome! To be continued.
