“I must learn to be content with being happier than I deserve.” – Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Yesterday evening I went out with my eldest daughter Anouk to the Theatre Betty Nansen , to watch an old play Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, but made as a modern play, where its acting, modern music, ballet, dance, and beautiful beautiful scenography, stagelight and subtle stage terms. It was both amusing and at the same time touching. We the audience applauded them big time afterwards.

The Beautiful Reminders

of the small things which my eyes catch in dailylife in my neighbourhood and home..

A single textile exibition Åndehuller (the hole in the ice from where the marine mammals are breathing from) in the greenlandic house in Aarhus…the delicate white paperlooking material is the gut from seals…

The light in our livingroom – I love it…

Todays colourdose

At Aros at lovely art museum in the middle of Aarhus…I was so lucky to be gifted a years membership with an extra person to this lovely and colourful museum…

Today was the first time of many visits and I really enjoyed it with my girls and some good old friends which came in from Copenhagen to visit us for some days.

Days at museums – exploring this new place – this new city means a lot of walks – today more than 11km/ 7 miles and 15 floors – yesterday was more or less the same…besides I need to continue projects from Greenland I think a couple of days at the beach would be good for us the voming days…

Tang Jie 湯杰

This beautiful installation, “Stone Story”, by chinese Tang Jie integrates pebbles, a large drum and mechanical parts to give the viewer sound effects along with the movement of the pieces. What a nice start of the weekend…like a magical floating poem…

determined crocheter!

I must admit…Huge, massive project and many hours of crocheted work. Pure yarn joy…

I like yarnbombing also called street knit, knifitti, guerilla knit, yarn storming, urban knitting, grafitti knitting, ….a type of grafitti and movement around the world..where colourful knit or crochet is like paint in the public space..usually its about reclaiming or personalizing sterile public spaces…

There actually exist an international yarnbombing day…great…

paper art

by swedish illustrator and graphic designer Fideli Sundqvist, with the long name Agnes Cecilia Fideli Siri Charlotte Sundqvist, working as an image maker, prop designer & paper artist.

What she create is very poetic and delicate, and these selected artworks are less colourful than she usually do…

Street Art inspiration

a new museum  with street art opened yesterday in Berlin, Germany, its called Urban Nation, and the purpose of it is to connect, create and care a global art community, a network without limits. So these days in connection with the opening they have a lot of interesting events, like the ArtMeile

170908_UN_ArtMeileMap_A3_web2_klein-1097x604.jpg

Between Nollendorfplatz and Bülowstraße underground stations in Berlin-Schöneberg, different art instillations and performances will be shown under the tracks between the two underground stations. There is prepared hand-on activities, such as community walls, for everyone who wants to get (artistically) involved.

So some inspiration for the future or for those in the neighbourhood of Berlin…
